How difficult is it to clean this thing towards the back since this is not one of the models of ninja air fryers that opens in the back?

I had this one. It's impossible to clean the heating elements.

I have never cleaned the heating elements in any toaster/airfryer I have owned. I would think heat would keep them clean.

Is this lack of access a deal breaker?

If you cook anything oily or in a sauce and it splatters you won't be able to ever properly clean out the air fryer with the tight design of this one. Even a larger air fryer oven is difficult if the back doesn't open up.

It's called seasoning.
