I own this backpack, I also own older ozark trail backpack that have lasted very very long without failure doing heavy sports like skiing and downhill mountain biking while lugging gear for myself and kids. I would say the quality is 90% of what you are getting with more expensive brands like camelbak and osprey, north face, REI etc. I own the expensive brands as well. The one thing is the more expensive brands do have more fancy shoulder strap "systems", but that doesn't matter so much for the lower volume backpacks like this one. I have not looked at the high volume ozark trail backpacks, but I wouldn't be suprised if the are nice.
