Just FYI - Online price $1499 includes $199 worth of Angi mounting service with Free delivery. so its evens out in store price, if you are not slick about extra $1. Online deal is good if you need the mounting service. Mount is not included.

Just FYI - Online price $1499 includes $199 worth of Angi mounting service with Free delivery. so its evens out in store price, if you are not slick about extra $1. Online deal is good if you need the mounting service. Mount is not included.

great deal if the screen isn't damaged--and probably a reason why TCLs prices at costco are continuing to drop--reviews mention a lot of people having to return them--ordered a 85" qm6k pro myself and had it delivered and mounted it only to see that screen was cracked and wouldn't turn on.

That sucks. I ordered a 85" Sony when they dropped under 1000 and they handled it with such care. I paid the guy to come back and mount it with me later and again, he did an excellent job and handled and mounted it perfectly. I was more than happy with them. It's such a toss up who they use.

any insights on if there's a long term issue with it? I got one, arrived wed, as I unboxed at night (with the help of 2 friends, super careful) as we turn on screen was cracked on the side... I have a new one (85) scheduled for next week... but now thinking if it's a good solve long term or if the tv is too fragile

Yes, the bigger the glass, the weaker the frame to absorb the shock of shipping.

Its super thin glass, so even temp cycle can cause cracking. For instance direct sun at high brightness and cold temp
100-150 inch projector is way more manageable and robust for $500 4k

The first 85" qm6k I got delivered from Best Buy was cracked. They were quick and easy about replacing via chat.
During the unboxing I noticed the air padding placed over the screen had slipped under the styrofoam on one of the corners. Sure enough the crack radiated from that corner.
Anyone buying these should def unbox, plug in and check before mounting. Glad I got mine delivered by the store to avoid any sort of disputing whether mishandling on the way home caused the cracking.

Did the regular led version get any cheaper in 98 inch.

The reviews of these services are really bad, or hit or miss at best. You are getting some guy doing gig work for like $20/hr that may or may not have experience mounting tv's. When you are installing something this big you might want it done right.

I mean it has free install and delivery. I just bought this last week for 1699. I called to get the price adjustment and they reimbursed me 200 hundred.
