I also have this pruner.

Bought tool only on a Woot deal some months ago before the winter set in. This thing easily handles thicker branches and "resets" quickly. Makes cutting branches down to size much quicker than using manual pruning shears.

I agree with the prior post, watch your fingers. You have to be really, really mindful of knowing that your free hand is out of the way when you pull the trigger.

I prefer using a small 2ah battery on this because your forearm will tire easily with a bigger battery. You will find you will get a large number of cuts without needing to swap your battery.

I think this reduced, in-store clearance price including 2ah battery and charger is a decent bundle.

I have this. Aside from the fear of pruning one's own fingers, this thing is FUN! It makes work so much faster, I often overdo the job. It is on the heavy side and large, which makes maneuvering around some bushes hard.

Sure wish HD would enable online purchasing of their clearance items again. Found some of these pruners at the clearance price but the store is 1 hr away. If HD wants to make the clearance items available to more people just limit 1 per person/account/address/credit card/etc

I use mine much more than I ever expected to. Heck, I even used it last night. I find I can cut much larger branches than it should be able to cut just by taking a few bites all around... branches that don't even fit in the jaws. It also goes on and on with a decently sized battery. I've never run down even a small battery in it after hundreds of cuts. It's a good tool.

Also, the circumcision jokes write themselves.

Chiming in.... seems like a frivolous tool, but I use it all of the time. You'll probably get tired of cutting before a 2 amp battery gives out. It's a delicate sipper of energy versus other garden tools

I have this tool. it is great. I suggest keeping your other arm behind your back as much as possible while using it.

Clearance but $110 for me. I may still get it because I really want this for some big pruning jobs and I could use another charger.

These are fantastic! If you have to prune branches up to like 1.5" these are excellent, they still work for thicker stuff, you just might need to pull the trigger twice

I would like this gadget but it would be my only DeWALT tool and I don't want to start a whole new battery line. I'll stick with my Milwaukee, Ryobi and Makita.

Have this from a previous Woot deal, it works great. I bought a pair of bright orange gloves to use when I'm using this to make my hands stand out more, but I also try to use one hand at a time if at all possible.

Why not just use a reciprocating tool or a cut off tool? Seems more nice.
