These are pretty good quality especially for the price but they were like six bucks on January 18

I hate how men's and women's socks are essentially the same thing (just different sizing) and the prices for men's stuff is about 33% higher just because it says "men's."

I don't think so. If you do a search on it, it was the same price.

In that case I'm buying some more must've been the cotton socks I got for that price

Nice price for 70% wool but why do all 5 pairs have to be different? I can't be the only one who prefers to have a bunch of socks all in the same color to make things easier.
Edit: all black and all grey are only a little more, so I bought some.

At what % wool would you say it significantly loses the benefits of wool vs 100%?
Like, 90%, 70%, 50%?

Can anyone speak to the durability/longevity of these? The last cheap merino Wool socks I got lasted maybe a year before the soles developed holes.

Not sure exactly but I have several 45% Merino baselayer shirts that I use for winter cycling. They're very thin but keep me plenty warm under my jacket. Hope that helps.

More wool doesn't necessarily mean a better garment. Even expensive wool socks are around 50-60% wool and the rest is synthetic (Darn Tough, Smartwool, Bombas, etc).

Pure wool doesn't stretch, doesn't hold its shape and can't be machine washed. It can also rip if stretched too far - think about the old days when grandmas repaired holes in knit socks. They didn't have polyester yarn.

My first reaction to 70% wool socks is that they might be pretty stiff and won't hold up long term, but would be warm and dry. For $2.50 a pair that seems more than fine even if they end up in the trash after a year.

In June I bought some wool socks that look a lot like this (different brand, ansilim) with the EXACT same blend (70/23/5/2) and they are my favorite socks of all time. very comfy, have held up very well so far. I'm going to get a couple packs of these and get rid of all of my old socks.

I got these socks for Christmas and have been wearing them every day and machine washing them frequently. No apparent signs of wear with little to no shrinking. Seem to be pretty high quality. I have been impressed, especially for the price. Very warm, soft, and comfortable.

These are only 2% nylon and instead use cheap polyester so they will not hold up long.

No info on sizing. Would you buy a shoe without ordering your size? One size doesn't fit all.

I missed that they say it fits 6-12. Seriously?
