Depends on what the other fibers are. High quality wool socks usually have at least 20% nylon to provide wear resistance and strength with the nylon used as a strong core for the wool fibers. 100% wool socks would wear out very quickly. These socks have polyester in them and I highly doubt it's a core for the wool, just plain old polyester fibers next to the wool ones which probably somewhat defeats the odor-resisting quality of wool. Probably still better than cotton or pure synthetic, but not on a par with the typical nylon/merino socks from the likes of Smartwool, Darn Tough, Icebreaker etc.

Nice price for 70% wool but why do all 5 pairs have to be different? I can't be the only one who prefers to have a bunch of socks all in the same color to make things easier.
Edit: all black and all grey are only a little more, so I bought some.

I hate how men's and women's socks are essentially the same thing (just different sizing) and the prices for men's stuff is about 33% higher just because it says "men's."

Decent price and good product, but these are commonly $12.99. $1.30 in savings is not really a slick deal.

Can anyone speak to the durability/longevity of these? The last cheap merino Wool socks I got lasted maybe a year before the soles developed holes.
They're a little more than $2 per pair. If they last a few wears then they'd still be worth it.

At what % wool would you say it significantly loses the benefits of wool vs 100%?
Like, 90%, 70%, 50%?

I hate polyester of any amount in socks, so this is a no go for me. Also a bit weird that they come in only one size.

Lasting only a few wears means socks would become an ongoing monthly or bimonthly expense like a Netflix subscription, only a "disposable socks" subscription 😄

Better for the environment and wallet to spend a little more on quality, and save money after a year or two.

This is a good price for what it is though. Thanks for answering my question.

Can't beat Darn Tough lifetime warranty.. never thought I would spend $16+ for a single pair of socks, but those will be the last socks I buy.

Kind of like Osprey for backpacks - bulletproof lifetime warranty.

not familiar with Smartwool or Icebreaker - how are they vs Darn Tough?

Men's is usually a "universal" 6-12 size and my 8.5/9 feet end up swimming in loose socks. Usually buy the women's merino at Costco instead

lol, i hear the complaint all the time in reverse from my wife - that women pay a surcharge for their clothing.

The reviews seem so so on the lower end (the ones more likely to be real). Also, the normal price is only 13.50. Nothing away from OP, and if I was going through socks a lot I might bet them, but if they wear out and don't stretch well, it might be a false economy.

I got these socks for Christmas and have been wearing them every day and machine washing them frequently. No apparent signs of wear with little to no shrinking. Seem to be pretty high quality. I have been impressed, especially for the price. Very warm, soft, and comfortable.
Thanks. not sure what happened to my previous comment, but I'll give these a go.

Higher price now, and all greys -- not the set of different colors.

These look less high than Costco ones, but I could be wrong. I do like the Costco ones but not in the summer. Need something thinner for hiking
