Oakley's Kitchen Sink and Bathroom Sink backpacks stand out for rugged build quality and long service life, with the Kitchen Sink repeatedly holding up through years of travel, commuting, hiking, rock climbing, and rough handling. The design gets praise for its cool look, metal details, lid closure, and useful storage, while the Bathroom Sink RC in coyote is described as great quality but on the small side. The main drawbacks are weight, bulk, and a clunky, overbuilt feel that can run hot and sag under load. Warranty claims are also disputed, so the value depends on whether you want durability more than comfort.
motorcycle commuters and deployment/cross-country travelers who want a mainstay backpack because people report the Kitchen Sink held up for years of abuse (commuting on a motorcycle, deployment, camping, and travel) and the lid closure helps when it's stuffed to the brim.
people who need a tough bag for rough handling (like hiking/rock climbing or tossing it around) because owners say their Kitchen Sink backpacks stayed tear-free for 10+ years even after hiking, rock climbing, and throwing it around.
gym-goers and car campers who want a durable everyday carry because commenters say Oakley backpacks are used for the gym or car camping (and are "completely different" from what they'd choose for heavy mountain biking/hiking).
buyers who value warranty support and can visit an Oakley store because one commenter says Oakley offers a lifetime warranty with replacement at an Oakley store if you have issues.
people shopping the Bathroom Sink RC who like a compact, "tacticool" look because a buyer says the coyote version has great quality with metal details/clips, even though it's on the smaller side.
buyers who need a clearly documented lifetime warranty for wear-and-tear because commenters dispute Oakley's warranty coverage-one says they couldn't find proof of lifetime coverage and another points to Oakley's warranty page showing only 1 year and very limited coverage.
hikers or mountain bikers planning to carry around ~30 lbs because one commenter says they wouldn't use Oakley for that and prefers other bags for that kind of load.
EDC users who care about weight distribution and back support because a commenter says the Kitchen Sink feels big/clunky, becomes saggy/droopy with massive foam that traps heat/sweat, and distributes weight less efficiently than an Osprey with rigid structure.
people who want a lightweight backpack because multiple commenters call the Kitchen Sink heavy (including one who stopped using it for years due to its non-negligible weight).
people who are sensitive to checkout/payment issues because one commenter reports their credit card was charged even though the website refused to place the order, requiring several days to get a refund.
