Today with the Superbowl, they all want wings and pizzas, so I'm looking at more than 50 bucks easily. Even with deals, when you have an active teenager that can eat their weight in food, you find out real quick that they can't be fed with 5 bucks, lol. Going to a sit down restaurant is even worse than fast food as my bill hit $100 easily with a family. Texas Roadhouse last night was $123, plus we all went to the movies and that was another $89, so it cost me over $200 to take the fam out.
Not to mention it's the Superbowl, so many people have family and friends over for watch parties and they are making big orders for lots of people. When I was a teenager many many years ago, I worked at Dominos and on the Superbowl, we'd get a ton of orders for 8-10 pizzas and even some with 15-20 pizzas for big parties. We would be swamped and it was mandatory that every single employee worked during the big game and even then we couldn't keep up. Our delivery drivers would fill their whole vehicles and trunks with pizzas for multiple orders, then soon as they get back to the store, we'd have a bunch more orders waiting to go out. They would make $500 in tips that day, so they loved working the big game.
