If you want to use these with alexa as a trigger in your automation routines, install them as matter devices (matter credentials are necessary) instead of tapo devices or alexa will only see them as "end points."

Love these, started using them for christmas lights and now i have them all over the house. Think I got a 4 pack for $20 a few years back. Surprisingly the app works well and has a ton of features

These are good plugs, they are what I chose to replace my Wemos with. They're Matter-compatible so they won't be bricked like the Wemos were. That said, this is not a good deal unless you are redeeming the extra cash back on the Amazon credit card. I got four-packs a couple months ago for 20 bucks from Amazon.

Where have you seen them for that price? Last time I thought I got a good deal on them they were 28 bucks for 4 and that was as cheap as ever according to the 3C.

I got the 4 pack deal last time, they work great and works with matter. The only major downside is you can't control them with bluetooth so if the wifi goes out it's useless.

I used the energy monitoring function this winter to monitor my sump pumps. Great to be able to track when they got activated to run cycles.

Then thank your elected T-President and look at this deal instead, which is not Tapo but a pack of 4 for $23, compatible with most voice command systems (Alexa/Google etc), certified, and best of all, they do have additional built-in NightLight (Very unique feature that you won't find on other brands) on each module, that can be very useful for dinning/living rooms, walk aways, etc.
