On mine, even the slowest speed is too fast. Of course, I do suck at caulking.

Hard to justify this for the average diy'er, or an I wrong?

Just be careful what you use it with, I slowly advanced the plunger and it easily wrecked a tube of silicone adhesive and I spent a long time removing bits of adhesive from the body of this thing. It's strong but just not for all tubes apparently.

Maybe. I'd say I'm pretty average, and my utility with a regular caulking gun is miserable. I'm terrible at using a constant squeezing pressure, so the result is a line that looks like a 2D Mario Bros level. A machine with a consistent pressure would mean I only have to focus on constant movement.

I love these guns as it saves my hands when air-sealing a large project, but is Ryobi a good brand?
