Tevas aren't even close to what they used to be as far as quality goes. But unfortunately there isn't really a good alternative, that I've found anyway. I usually wait for them to go on sale somewhere before I'll buy them.

I agree with this sentiment - Tevas have been great for vacations with beaches/water. Fast-drying, easy to wash, can be used as water shoes, possible to do light hikes in, etc. For $40, this seems like a better model for those use-cases as well than the regular Tevas (without traction on the bottom)
