Original MSRP $600. But I do think in the past month they bumped it up $50 just because they can change their imaginary numbers :-)

If this is your budget range, this is probably about as good as we're going to see this year. I'm happy with having got a different make xfx 9070xt 16gb for $700.

The ASRock one was $600 for a couple months at microcenter but this is legit the best deal you're going to get now, I don't even think we've really seen them online for any less than 650.

I love GPUmark's GPUpro user's opinion of AMD cards that's listed on every AMD comparison. Despite his ultra low opinion of AMD, my experience with them hasn't been nearly as bad. However, i almost always have eventual boot issues, sleep wakeup issues, and artifacting on nearly every AMD card i've ever owned.

Upgraded from my 7900 xtx to a 9070 xt. Yes, I said it, upgrade. I absolutely love my price to performance of my asrock steel legend 9070 xt.

What's the real life bump in performance like from your 7900XTX? Currently have an Asrock Formula 6900XT and was going to upgrade when the prices dropped. They really haven't, but the getting a little long in the tooth..

I just got a gigabyte 7090 xt for like 739. Wrestling with the idea of returning it for this. It's just a pain for me to make time to get it back to the store. Anyone know if this is better than the gigabyte by any dramatic margin in build quality or performance?

This is much worse than a 7900xtx and has less ram. It's a performance valley not a bump.
The AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is a newer (4nm), more efficient card, offering comparable rasterization performance to the RX 7900 XTX, with superior ray tracing, better AI compute (1557 TOPS vs 122.8 TOPS), and support for FSR4. The 7900 XTX remains a strong contender with 24GB VRAM (vs 16GB on the 9070 XT) and better raw performance in some titles, but the 9070 XT is generally better for future-proofing and features. AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (RDNA4 Architecture - Approx. 2025/2026): Performance: Roughly equal to 7900 XTX in 4K/1440p gaming, sometimes faster in newer, optimized titles.Ray Tracing: Better than 7900 XTX.VRAM: 16GB.Efficiency/Features: Lower power consumption (304W TDP) and supports FSR4.Best For: Modern gaming, ray tracing, and power efficiency. AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX (RDNA3 Architecture - 2023): Performance: Excellent raw (raster) performance, often beating the 9070 XT in older titles.VRAM: 24GB (superior for massive texture workloads or VR).Specs: Higher memory bandwidth (\(960\text{\ GB/s}\)) and more stream processors (6144).Best For: 4K gaming with maximum VRAM usage, and where raw horsepower is prioritized over new architectural features. You are stuck on RDNA3 with the 7900 Xfx
