This is not the case. There was a thread on reddit last week where there seemed to be a hiccup and people could not apply the gift cards. However Instacart support were unaware of any change and it started working again shortly thereafter. I just bought a code using this deal, and applied it to Costco sameday.

How long does it take to receive card. It's been roughly 3 hrs now.

Agree, plus I believe Instacart app has same prices if you have your accounts properly linked. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
