Can someone confirm : if the battery dies, this becomes a paper weight?

Can you confirm: you know how to Google "Bose SoundLink micro 2 battery replacement"?

The 3.6V 2950mAh (078042) lithium-ion battery is soldered directly to the circuit board, necessitating a complete, delicate disassembly.

I can confirm that replacing the battery is not user friendly and requires special tools, rendering this, a paperweight indeed.

I wanna thank mozillafirefix for reminding me to Google something that I thought would have been nice to solicit opinion on from previous buyers. I could have worded it better though, I'll admit that.

It's the typical 18650 form factor Li-on batter very commonly found in power banks, power tools, flashlight, etc. Desoldering and resoldering it is a straightforward DIY work. Like many other devices with a built-in rechargeable battery, it would become a paperweight if the battery dies and if the owner doesn't know how to replace it.
