However, youre getting 16GB of fast LPDDR5, 1TB, basically the most efficient CPU for x86 windows/Linux and a GPU that can handle 1080p low-medium gaming without upscaling and do even more with XeSS 3 upscaling.
If you were to price out just the SSD and RAM (soldered, using SODIMM prices) it would already be $300 on their own right now. As for being a refurb, I bought this last month and there is like a 2CM scratch on the side, otherwise its like-new and without issue.
Personally I would recommend this to anyone that can deal with the screen quality in this price segment, if you cant, youll be waiting a few months for a better deal or paying like $200 more solely for a better screen.
I have this laptop, bought it new for $500. I'm not a fan of refurbished electronics but if it's something you don't mind I'd say this is a great price for a budget laptop.
Main reason I bought it is because it's hard to find a laptop in this price range that charges via USB-C. I prefer not to have to lug around a wall wart charger in addition to my usual travel charger and cables.
I saw someone suggest the screen is dim, I would disagree, it seems fine to me once you turn off the Windows display setting that dims the screen automatically based on how much light the camera registers.
100% happy with my purchase at $500. Jump if you like refurbs...

it's a great deal. at this price you're going to make some sacrifices. But for office work and school, this will be a strong work horse for many years.
