Thanks, OP. I took advantage of this exact same promo last month but even better, it was $10/month for 6 months. I've been using it as my Secondary e-SIM in my iPhone for Data, since I'm currently with "by the Gig" with Xfinity Mobile.

So far, Tello has never let me down, fast & reliable data connection in my area (SF Bay Area) and the tethering/hot spot is awesome too.

They have very flexible data/minutes/text options to meet our budget. ** BTW, I'm not Tello employee, nor get any bonus, just sharing my observation here Big Grin **

I would continue be with them after the promo ends, only with less data allowance, since I don't really need Unlimited Data. nod
what is the monthly rate with (xfinity mobile or was it limited offer?

The 1GB on Xfinity Mobile costs $20/month, 3GB is $35/month and 10GB is $65/month, but it can be shared up to 10 lines on a single account. IMHO, it's worth it if you mostly use WiFi at home/work and also have multiple lines.

I was on the Xfinity mobile by the Gig plan for years, I think the downside of it is the $20 per 1 gig charge if you go over your limit. If you are on the 3 GB plan and use 3.1 GB, it is $35+$20, not including tax/fees. I recently ported to usmobile by the Gig plan, $20 for 10 gig, which includes 1 line, and $8 for each additional line. I ported 4 lines, so $20 + $24 (3x$8) = $44 for 10 GB. Extremely happy with the Verizon (Warp) service, and they offer AT&T or T-Mobile as options if you prefer those networks.

Speaking from personal experience, yes. Ported from Tello to Visible and it took about 15 minutes.

you have to do it before they do tha "auto-renew" - that resets all the accumulated data/mins..I had to remind myself to recharge 1 day before every month.
No, just check the box for them to remind you 48 hours before renewal when you pay

It's important to note that the rollover does NOT apply to the plan in this promotion. But yes, after the three months, if you drop down to a non-unlimited plan, then you can roll data and possibly minutes. Of course, this works better for lower usage lines, but in my opinion, it's the best thing about Tello.

If I were switching now, my strategy would be to use a referral code when creating an account, use the $10 promotion for the three months. Then on the last day of third month, I would redeem the $10 in Tello Dollars for the 2GB/unlimited talk and text plan. For me that would last a full month, but for people who use more data, you can just renew when you use up the 2GB. So, you get 3.5-4 months for the initial $30. Then at that point, I would switch to fixed amounts to roll. For low usage, you could do the 1GB/100 minutes for $6 per month. Or you could start with a larger amount to build up minutes and data, then drop to the $6 plan and use that to roll. Then, when you get low, you bump up to a higher level for one month. It's more work than a traditional monthly plan, but I think the savings are worth it.
