To be fair, Ecoflow does make some great products, and it sure seems like there have been a lot less complaints about their refurbs more recently, though maybe I just haven't been looking enough or in the right places.
I'd like one of these at this price but will do some more looking before deciding on what to buy and where.
Also I recently got a delta 2 from ebay refurbished 2nd tier and the thing looked fine but seemed to be ran through. The vent fans were caked with dust and the AC charging never worked even after updating the firmware on the app. Only dc charging worked to charge the unit. I sent it back and it was an whole ordeal with FedeX who couldn't take "Hazmat" items at their locations and we had to schedule pick up. When I tried scheduling a pick up multiple times the tracking numbers Ecoflow gave me were never found in the system by FedeX. Eventually Ecoflow scheduled the pick up for me. FedeX did pick it up but when chatting with Ecoflow support they said they are not seeing the old tracking number in the system... and more headaches later they did confirm that the return package made it to their warehouse and are finally sending me a replacement... Just for this experience alone I am temped to never buy another refurbished Ecoflow at least not a 2nd tier one if the deal is good enough. In fact I am thinking I am better off just waiting for when the new ones go on sale and get the 5 year warranty for peace of mind.
Prior to that I bought one of them in the "refurbished: very good" condition. The only distinguishing mark was that it was missing the rubber 12V DC "car lighter" port cover plug. That unit that I bought in November of 2025 had a date of manufacture sticker of July 9, 2025.
The point I am making is that these particular Delta 3 1500s are fairly new production models in their lineup. As discounted refurbished units they really can't have seen a ton of use - even if they were cycled daily in their short lives.
