That was a price mistake with Walmart that Amazon's pricing system temporarily matched that lasted a few hours starting at around midnight into early am hours. You don't know what you're talking about.
I said "if" as in if that's actually true. And sure, to be fair, we're talking about a 32" OLED compared to a 57" curved mini‑LED — but even with that size difference, the pricing still makes no sense in 2026. OLED prices have dropped so far that there's no world where a mini‑LED monitor should cost three times more than a smaller OLED. You're not going to convince me otherwise.

Even with the size difference, the price‑to‑performance ratio still favors OLED. Infinite contrast, superior HDR, instantaneous response...

This monitor is typically used by people who are playing sim racing or flight games primarily. People playing those want full immersion and no bezel between monitors.

I know that as a fact since I bought and resold eight of them last year during that crazy price glitch. I suspect someone meant to price the 49 inch G9 at that price which is about the usual sales price but screwed up causing either amazon or Walmart to match 2nd. Every buyer had a racing rig.

This monitor can still be purchased for nearly 1200 with Samsung offer programs frequently enough though.

It's a tremendous non oled monitor and no OLED comes close to its size and with the 1000R curve. I used one for about 6 months before deciding sim racing was something I did not have time for and ultimately my 49" G9 is my every day work monitor at home with my g81sf 32" being my gaming monitor.

Your take is a bit too black and white and especially disregards the immersion effect of a 1000R curve and no border.

Besides what others have said, being the only player in the market gives you premium power. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it the only that offers this monitor yes. I love since I can game and work on two full size 32 inch screens with no bezels. That alone makes it worth it. Plus it's soo powerful no gpu can fully push it, another reason why we prolly don't see competitors. The 5090 is basically the baseline for pushing this. I have this monitor with a 3080ti and I have to play in windowed mode most times to high res games but every once in a while I'll do med-low settings and full screen and it's beautiful. Imagine if I could max it!!! If an OLED version came out I would hop in it soon as it went on sale lol.

I have this monitor. It's a great monitor but I had to return it a total of 3 times due to dead pixels. Samsung neo are notorious for having dead pixels. Overall I prefer mini led over oled because my screen will not dim each time I open chrome with a white background or file explorer. Mini led monitor do not need to auto dim, and you never need to worry about burn in that oleds have. Overall think of this monitor as having 2 x g7 neos without boarders, and a g7 neo will easily cost over 700 dollars.

Bro... No mini led monitor should be $1000+. I deadass got a 32" 4K OLED for $450 the other day at Costco...
This monitor is one of the best productivity monitors (and good ultra wide gaming monitor) without the burn concerns or crappy text fringing OLED monitors have than your crappy low budget entry level oled monitor

Where did you buy from that let you return 3 times? Costco?

That's precisely why the Costco option is the best available option. Dealing with Samsung is a terrible path. Costco makes it a ton easier until you get a good one.

Best single productivity / gaming monitor with some caveats.
Running a 5090 and love it.
I think 32:9 is actually too wide for gaming outside of flight/racers where that wrap around feel is amazing. For most games I think if you're going ultrawide, 21:9 is the sweet spot.
For productivity this is probably the best monitor ever. So much space to work with. I've had it since launch and I will never go back as long as they keep making them. If this thing broke today, I would order another without any hesitation.

Was a price glitch around Nov 2024, $799.99 at walmart and amazon auto-price-matched it . Lasted about 9 hours before it was caught.
