Been watching this for a while because none of the nearby Costcos carry it. Best price I've seen SHIPPED($349 plus free shipping), just ordered today. Has been priced at $499 for the past month or two. Note: some Costco's have these in stock and have been as cheap as $299. None of the Costcos near me have ever carried it, however, so $349 shipped is the best deal I have seen.

I guess that's a pretty good price for online delivered. Because that thing is heavy. I kind of froze my neck and shoulder trying to get it up the stairs one piece at a time.
In warehouse if you can catch it I've seen it for 300 new. And 200 open box. And I thought my kids would tire of it and I would return it.
Turns out they still really like it and play with it everyday for just a minute. And I've been trying to teach them that the other claw machines in the arcades are scams. So this kind of helps a little bit because you can set it to the scam level to make it really difficult. In truth that level is not that difficult. They need a further level that's more like the Japanese arcades.
And then we've been inviting a lot of their friends over for play dates and then this is definitely one of the centerpieces of a lot of these play dates. So that's been nice. It has turned out better than I expected.
Some of the prizes inside made of plastic, like the balls that hold the prizes, crack easily. But we throw a lot of old stuffies in there as prizes. And other people have given us small stuffies to put in there as well. You could even buy a bunch from Goodwill or salvation army to make it look more filled up.
This is neat. I want one for my game room that I don't yet have I see it comes with Patrick, Sandy, Plankton and three SpongeBob plushies but no Squidward or Mr. Krabs???
I don't have experience with it, but mostly all the negative reviews mention it slipping the drive belt and not able to fix, and manufacturer is now out of business so you'd be stuck.
You can just try your luck and hope yours doesn't have that particular problem, and rely on Costco's warranty. But that's also going to be a bear to transport to Costco to return, you aren't going to be able to "mail" it back.

Thanks for the info. Didn't realize Arcade1Up was bought out by another company. Makes the warranty or defective product claims very sketchy. At least it's purchased by Costco, so they should take the item back if it ever fails due to being defective.

not that it has anything to do with the deal but they were bought out and their claw machine is actually a very good seller.
