I have 4 of these from when a two pack was on sale at Costco or Sams and in less than a year 3 of the 4 lids broke in the same place. If you look at their reviews on their website it is full of great reviews and then bad reviews all pretty much saying the same thing about the lid. I love them when they work, but they have a clear design flaw in durability.
Edit: This post got me motivated to reach out to CS and they responded already and it sounds like they are going to help out. Just thought it was worth mentioning that in case it changes things.

I have this from a local grocery store. Very good design. However, it begins leaking water after a year.

Sounds like a bean counter decided they could make a lot more money if they would just make this *one* change.

I also bought a 2 pack of the on sale at Sam's Club and the plastic part of the lid broke maybe 3-4 months of using them. However, since there is a lifetime warranty for these bottles I emailed customer service and got my replacement lids in the mail (free) within a week. Was happy about it because I really like using these water bottles daily.

There's a gasket inside that comes loose, causing significant water leakage. It appears to be a design flaw.

I have had the gaskets go loose on mine but I was always able to reseat them when this happens. It can be annoying as it will get water all over the place, but at least it isn't something I can't fix (unlike the lids that break).

Thank you for the information. I checked their website and found that they have lifetime warranty for their products. Sent them a claim online.
Update: Ello provides a replacement to the lid.
