anyone able to trade in a phone not on the list? I have Note 2 but putting IMEI the system does not recognize. TIA.
Call and they should be able to do it. T-mobile or Costco number is better if you are a member

Now, I suspect that T-Mobile will raise fees on our old plans.
Or they might raise the price anyway and you can miss out on this promotion. Happened to me already

I'm pretty sure you'll need to activate the phones for the deal to work out. They are esim though so it's pretty easy.
Quote from pet1700 :
You don't need to activate... I still have 2 moto edge 2022 never opened from last free phone deal that actually worked on my family select 50 plan from about 3 years ago

Family not ready to switch from iphones, so in that case, i can't upgrade as they need to be activated. I use the S25 ultra so not ready to downgrade as well.
Can anybody comment on if 10 Pro XL is worth it to switch from S25 Ultra ?
As mentioned above, you do NOT need to activate the phones to get the deal. The phones could stay in their boxes until you decide what to do with them (use, sell, trade-in, etc), and you and your family can use the current devices that you currently use. Just ignore Lex Luthor Smilie

The store I went to drop off the 2 phones the other day did not check IMEI numbers or anything else for that matter. I'm sure it differs from store to store and/or employee to employee.
Did they ask for any paper work or did they have it in their system already when you gave them your account information? Thanks!

Don't need to activate the phone but if you want to unlock it after the 24 months it has to be on the t-mobile network at one point. Currently I think it's 40 days but that could change.

Everything popped up in their system. The only thing they needed from me was my driver's license.

Of course! My family is in the Apple jail/eco-system, as well. So, I'll be keeping the Pixel 10s for trading them for iPhone 18 in the Fall.

Thanks. Waiting till I receive the pixel to make sure it has no issues and then will do the trade in.
If I don't activate the pixel on my account, can I use it as a trade in before the 24 months are over and still get the credits every month? Can I sell it as locked and still receive the credits? Give it to a friend on t-mobile to use with their account? Not planning to but always good to know my options. Thanks again.

Thanks!

I'm wondering then if Costco primary member and Tmobile account holder are different people, who should be the one that calls the Costco Tmobile number then, the Costco member?

Would they then need to get permission from the Tmobile account holder to make the upgrades?
my costco membership is under my sister's account aka sub card. im the authorized user under friend's tmobile account. i have been doing upgrades through costco without issues
