I did. Never had a problem unlocking right after getting the phone. More likely had to do with how long we have been with TMobile.
Opened or sealed P10? Who did you ask?

Has to be opened because you need to inform them which line is being used to unlock the phone. I called 611. I've been unlocking early for decades since I needed to travel internationally for work.

Gave it a shot with an "upcoming" trip to Europe story. They said that the phone has to be fully paid for a permanent unlock, and I can submit a temporary unlock request that would cover the trip while overseas.

Temporary unlock works great, but make sure to request it while connected to a USA network. Also problematic if you need over 30 days.
iOS has no such temporary unlock 😩

I wonder, if you activate the phone on a line that doesn't have any contract, would they have unlocked the device? Or it wouldn't have made any difference? I guess the only silver lining is how old the account is that may help you get the device unlocked even if it is not fully paid off?

Thx

Nevermind, I was looking at the wrong place. Both are showing now. Should've done 4 lol. With the rebate payment, the XL is free.
