I bought this without much thought from last time, seemed like a good deal, and maybe it is. It comes shrink wrapped so it seems super thin at first, but after it fluffs out it's decently thick. At first I was like, oh the Slickdeals effect, we all think all well-upvoted posts are deals, and I basically was sold some random thing at a price it's probably always at... and I still kind of feel that way. I don't regret it, I think for $20 it's a good product given what you can get for $20 elsewhere, but I also don't think this deserves any more attention than any other random thing you can get off of Amazon.

It's a decent product and it's priced better than something you'd get at a mall. Is that interesting? No. Is that a "great deal"? Not really. If you need a warm sweatshirt this isn't a bad buy though.

Yeah... but this is cotton with that sherpa inside. Usually that stuff is made from polyester, which just traps heat and is horrible. Cotton is warm and breathable but not as warm and breathable as wool (you can get extra fine merino sweatshirts on yellow tag for less than 20 for top quality at Marshall's but you can only get that once or twice a year). This looks decent as a cotton sweatshirt that has the potential to be pretty warm based on the design. However, 20 bucks is not that expensive but it's not that cheap either. Cotton when it gets wet will take a while to dry and will make you cold, but wool can keep you warm even when damp.

I have bought 4 of these. These are simply awesome. They are very warm, I do not wear a coat out over this with a tshirt under it, in weather all the way down to about 10f and it is comfortable. Absolutely love these, was shocked how much I like the first one I purchased so I bought 3 more. They hold up very well in the wash, as well!
