No brainer for homeless shelters, especially if you have a long winter. There's a lot of dignity in being able to wear brand new clothes.

These are actually pretty nice - similar to a lot of the Ozark Trail stuff from Walmart. Maybe 1/2 step up from the lower end Columbia fleece jackets.

Although it did occur to me that while these would be great as a layer during a cold winter, they are fairly lightweight.

Walmart clearances out a ton of their mens, womens and kids winter stuff if you're trying to buy stuff to donate directly.

Ozark trail isn't bad budget outdoor wear bought several of their soft shell jackets. As good as Columbia brand imo
