Thanks for inficating that the laptop RTX 5070 only has 8GB GDDR7. Good price anyway, I guess.

Yeah I've stopped following laptop deals lately. This latest gen is gimped compared to desktop. We had 8GB with the 1070 7 years ago, and we still have 8GB from the base level 5050 all the way up to the 5070.

AMD was competing in the midrange with the 7000 series, but they have not released 9000 series meaning Nvidia is alone...Honestly not worth buying anything that's not a 5050(~4060 mobile) or 5070Ti as the rest have poor value...

By the time you get a 5070 Ti laptop like the MSI Vecter you might as well have bought a desktop for $1200 with a 5060 Ti 16GB which will perform similarly, even with these RAM and SSD shortages. 8GB has its place, which is what half these people don't get, its just at 1080p not at 1440p like the 60 or 70 class cards are often paired with. DLSS helps ease reqs but FG worsens it so it depends...

Alayws throttle in highest performance mode, even when plugged in and huge battery drain issue. Acer is using a 135W Power Adapter which has been proven by many reviewers that could not deliver power to the system adequetely when the CPU and GPU both are on load, like in gaming. As a result, even when plugged in, battery starts draining very fast and then after it reaches a certain point, it triggers the lower performance mode automatically to decrease the performance even more.
And you can't fix this by using a bigger charger because it has been lockedin the BIOS to only accept 135W power.
