Most recipes you would use with this size pan rise past the lip of the pan (banana bread, soft white bread, etc).

Just note that this thing would get HOT aka you're getting more of a crust on the outside of what you are cooking. For a "loaf" pan, you likely don't want the pan to be dark or thick.

You could make bread in a dutch oven that wouldn't cost much more than this, have a lid, and be able to use a stovetop or outdoors too.
