I'm trying to calculate whether buying these alkaline AAA batteries at this price is worth it over buying AAA rechargeable eneloops.
Let's assume AAA batteries last 1 year on a TV remote. That means this 24-pack at $6.90 would be enough for a 12-year supply for a single remote. Let's convert it to the equivalency of a 2-year supply for 6 remotes so we can have a closer comparison to the rechargeable AAA eneloop 12-pack.
Current deal for rechargeable AAA eneloop 12-pack is $22.73. That's a lifetime supply for 6 TV remotes. $3.78 per remote, never buy AAAs again.
I can buy a 6-year supply (72 batteries for 6 remotes) of AAA Energizer alkalines for $20.70 with this current deal. $3.45 per remote, 6-year supply.
Seems to me the eneloops are the smarter investment, but this calculation is assuming you already own a battery charger.

Good job rarely using TV if traditional lasting you a year. I go through a minimum of 3 changes a year on high use TV but yes about a year on TV that doesn't get much usage.

But there's the convenience factor. With rechargeable, you have to recharge and while recharging your remote don't have batteries. Where as with the disposable one, you just grab a fresh one. I do like rechargeable, but sometimes buying disposable is not a bad idea, especially for kid's toys since those toys are also disposable

The batteries that originally came with my 65" Sony OLED lasted over 2 years, but yeah, I barely watch TV.
If we go by your usage rate, then it would make it a 2-year supply of the Energizer alkalines for $20.70, making the eneloops seem like an even better deal.
