Attached are GeekBench scores that I ran on the phones I have/had. The 2024 Moto G Stylus has similar scores to the Samsung A54 5G. The 2025 Moto G Stylus has a faster process than the 2024 version, so it should be faster than the A54. I ordered the 2025 Stylus this morning. I will run GeekBench on it when I receive it, and post the scores.

Unfortunately, after Verizon has been relieved of its boundation to unlock devices within 60 days on Jan 20 2026, this is the easiest and cheapest way to buy a new device with decent specs that gets auto unlock (albeit after 365 days) without paying anything extra after the initial activation. From the carrier perspective it makes little sense selling the devices at steep discount without even breaking-even by making the customer pay the overly inflated telecom service, so its kind of a stretch expecting them to easily unlock the devices (within a short period of time like 60 days).
Having said that, this is slickdeals Smilie and here, one expects to get the best possible 'bang for the buck' on a given day, hence the deal. Happy to be corrected.

Would love to get this but waiting a year for unlock sucks, that is an unreasonably long wait time 😞 They really should change unlock policy back to 60 days (or less).

Cricket has 6 months. Sweet deal on the iPhone 13 at not cost with purchase of two months of plans. So $120 and a 6 month wait for unlock unless deployed overseas with military. You must port in for the deal. The 16e is $49.99 plus the two months of plan. I'm a big fan of the iPhone 13 as it's still an excellent performer and the last iPhone with the sim tray.

Cricket needs 6 months of paid service, isn't it? If you factor that in, the price will be whole lot different.

Autopay is OFF by default. Just don't pay for the second month. The phone will unlock in 12 months.

I think it Motorola changed it to "Smart Connect", I have it on my windows pc, it works fine on my metro razr 2024 that is waiting for unlock. I mostly use the screen share / virtual display for bing rewards and other mobile only apps without installing the app on my main phone or use android emulator. It should also works with this phone (I have the total wireless version)

I have too of these with a TCL Tab10 NXTPapers 5g from StraightTalk for turning them into gifts once they're unlocked.
In addition, I have two iphone 16e (Free with $100 giftcards) for collection and trade-in next year. It's just a hobby of passive investment while the phones serve as spare devices.

We just stop paying after the first month is it?

And I'm hoping to unlock to boot loader for an alternate OS, carrier lock doesn't matter. Will I be able to immediately?
