ive found that with every headlamp that i own that has a throw option, i literally never use the throw. i prefer a flood on my head, and if i need throw, i use a flashlight instead.

Ha, I almost always use the throw, hardly ever the flood, since it points exactly to where I am looking. Being a headlight and all.
Prefer using floodlight for repairs and such.

I love my Zebralight floody for walks, having a wall of light rather than a narrow beam really makes a trail easy to navigate at night. That being said sometimes I do want to see what that sound was off in the distance so having the option to also have throw would be useful.

Only a 18650 battery but I guess it isn't bad for the money. I rather have what I have with a 21700 battery.

If you don't need to detach the light from its mount, I would get this model. Love my HS21, I can detach it from the head strap and mount onto my bike for night riding
