This one is brushed, and while I have Dewalt batteries and need a circular saw I can't imagine this is worth over getting either the brushless version for a bit more or an alternative brand + battery for about $100 but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

this work well enough, just make sure you use 5ah battery not those 2ah, cuz 2ah will get hot, to the point that burns your finger when you touching it.

In my experience it's best to use a 5ah or larger battery on ANY of the DeWALT 20v circular saws, brushed or brushless.

Not trying to prove you wrong, just a comment. I have the 391 and the brushless 565B. The 565 is a lot more $ than just a bit more, it is typically > than 2x more. Both work fine. The 565 is more powerful and faster but they can both cut anything within their 6.5 blade size capability. Like someone mentioned, I to mainly use a 5 amp or greater battery on these.
If I could do it over, I'd stick with the 391 6.5 inch here and also get the brushless 590 7.25 inch which is only like $20 more than the brushless 6.5 inch 565.

I got the brushless one for $99 in December, https://slickdeals.net/f/18862183-dewalt-dcs565b-20v-max-brushless-cordless-6-5-circular-saw-tool-only-99-free-shipping-on-150

You can always spend a little more for a little better, all the way up to the 60V for $300, but if it's just for occasional use around the house then it really doesn't matter imo
