These are great for storing 3d filament and yeah this is everyday price. Also may show out of stock online but I've gone inside the store and sure enough they had plenty but up on the highest shelf so I would look around the area if not where it's suppose to be.

20 quarts is 5 gallons. All the Home Depot stores by me have the HD 7 Gal. Tough Storage Tote (black with red lid) on clearance for $4.70. Just FYI..

gasket looks to be open cell foam, not really air tight.

True, it's not ideal, but it's better than your typical plastic box. If you put some dessicant inside, it'll keep your filament dry.

Around the holidays Target carries a 54qt plastic box with an IP68 rated seal. That's the type I use since it's a better seal than this one.

In my local Walmart they were on clearance couple days ago, $4 each. Obviously YMMV but might worth checking if you are going there anyways

yes but many love these for 3D printing filament storge, the gasket helps regulate the air flow more than not having it. Also, the locking handles are good.

Majority of the time the lids are cracked if you select shipping. Do store pickup instead.

I recently bought one for my 3d filament. Was skeptical. It fits 4 rolls, can make some bin lid clips (to make it tighter on the side) and hydrometer from makerworld. So far my filaments kept dry.
