You know where 90 percent of solar panel and controller are made?

Can you not put the batteries in parallel? Connecting batteries in parallel involves joining positive-to-positive and negative-to-negative terminals to increase total amp-hour (Ah) capacity and runtime, while keeping voltage consistent. This setup allows for longer-lasting power, such as doubling a 12V 100Ah system to 12V 200Ah by linking two batteries. It is critical to use identical batteries (same voltage, capacity, and age) to avoid premature failure and uneven charging.

First, you're never going to get full nameplate capacity output out of any solar panel. Second, Chinese manufacturing is generations ahead of the US and anywhere else. Where do you think more than 80% of solar panel production happens?

What? You think the US is investing in solar panel manufacturing? We're actively doing the opposite.

Wow I have this kit paid $400 off Amazon last year. MPTT controller is great and why I bought mine. A+ deal. Pair it with a single 280AH 12V LiPo4 battery deal and you have a great system. I went with 2x100AH and its annoying to have two batteries to think about and swap around in the bluetooth app - would much rather have one big one hanging off these 400W panels!

Ummm, it's cheap. It's Chinese. Don't get the controller wet. Don't expect 400w, more like 240w on a very sunny day. Have a safe journey.
Thanks for the warning

I'm providing my two cents to help shoppers as I have the 200W kit. Yes, Chinese solar manufacturing is well ahead of the US's. However, the 100W panels are labeled with false specs. If you compare the 100W Eco-Worthy with the Renogy, the Renogy is bigger and thus actually outputs more of what is advertised.

There are videos showcasing this brand's false specs and lower output. If you prefer to support a company that actually sells what it advertises, you may want to go with a different brand. FWIW, I'm content with my purchase, even factoring in the lower output.

Hope this helps, stay green.

Solar panels typically recoup their manufacturing carbon footprint within a few years. Claiming that they are never green is, frankly, quite ridiculous. Even if you're not concerned about the environmental benefits, the cost savings alone can be a strong incentive, especially if you live in a sunny, high-cost-of-living state. Solar panels aren't for everyone, but they're here to stay as they're built into our everyday infrastructure (roofs of buildings, solar parking lots, etc).

while I applaud your commitment to the goal, there is nothing green about solar energy. It is alternative energy at best. The carbon offset for these panels will never be achieved in their functional lifetime. They will produce power YES, they will never be green by the time you factor in the pollution created in their manufacturing. Until you find a solar panel plant being run by solar power and wind mills, its all a trade off which I am fine with. ultimately its about producing power WHERE you need it and WHEN you need it. living in hurricane alley (FLORIDA) I would accept lower output vs NO output after a storm kills the grid.
