Price dropped to $14.99 in cart. The extra dollar off may be targeted. Great price! $39 elsewhere even on Ali. . Same container from another Amazon seller: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FF4P1ZTV/ From my experience a 4.25 cup titanium container base weighs 100 grams consistent with this other listing 167g (59g lid + 108g box), Therefore the actual weight is likely 167 g not 350 g as listed. Says limited stock - just ordered a second one.
Evernew pure titanium ultralight backpacking pots are the most used items in my kitchen. Fast cool-down increases freshness and food safety while saving time for meal prep. I was searching for silicon lids for them when I came across this. Says silicone lid but that's likely just the seal on the non-metallic lid. Titanium is non-toxic non-reactive does not absorb odors wipes clean and will never wear out or require replacement. Ti resits bacterial growth.
edit:
Why is this siick? 1. performance 2.It's less than half the cost of pure Titanium containers sold elsewhere.
Why is titanium the ultimate food storage container?
Durable, the base will never require replacement. Sanitary, can't harbor bacteria. Can cook in it and pour hot food in. No risk of leaching heavy metals nickel chromium vanadium which can happen with stainless. Safety, does not impart any metallic taste and is 100% non-reactive, non-toxic. Does not absorb odors. Handles extreme temperature; freezer to oven, fire and open flame.
Faster cooling keeps food in the safety zone. Faster cooking and faster defrosting in the fridge of foods like frozen scallops and raw chicken. Can grab pot above the hot food line right out of Instant Pot with bare hands with no risk of burning because Ti does not store heat the way aluminum or stainless does. Ultra-light weight. Wipes clean with little effort. Dishwasher safe.
Caveats: The lid is not titanium so all of the above does not apply to the lid but it does provide for airtight and leak-proof sealing. Versions with Ti metal lids cost $60 and require external clamps.
Why aren't pure Ti pots and containers seen everywhere? Cost and lack of familiarity by consumers. It is difficult and labor intensive to produce Ti metal and form it in to cookware so it is usually sold only to backpackers at a premium price.
