I liked the 48 inch size better as a pc screen. That is like 4x 24 inch 1080p screens which I think is a bit nicer than some 21 inch 1080p monitors you would get with the 42. The scale seems a bit small on the 42 inch.

Normal desk distance. 24 inch 1080p is pretty much the defacto pc monitor size.
