Not the table's fault but a little tabletop gas grill can deform / melt a table like this. Don't ask me how I know....

Pretty cheap to buy some insulation and tin foil to set it on and prevent this next time.

A $1 wooden cutting board directly under the grill also works...again, don't ask me how I had to learn all of this.

I own this table and it's nice for sitting. If you plan on doing consistent standing activities (like cleaning fish for example) it will likely hurt your back hunching if you're 6'+
