Only buying Apple phones through Apple so they are unlocked out of the box. Sure, if it's an Android you can get temp unlock (so OK to buy through Tmo/carrier), but not Apple anymore.
/Also, on one of the old Simple Choice 10gb family plans that was upgraded to unlimited data with 7 lines for $102 (4 on plan + 3 'on us' lines) and qualified for the $800 off Pixel on multiple lines, but no dice on this Apple promo. I'll check again in a few days and see if I get lucky. Whole family is on Apple now.
For those that DO qualify- can you check to see if you can purchase through Apple and get the same promo (24 bill credits for $830?).

I did the order online for a Pixel (I know this is the iPhone thread but the iPhone trade-in wasn't appearing and I didn't want to spend the time to chat with a rep or go to a store on the off-chance I might qualify), and will plan on activating the phone without setting up the cellular network. Even if my phone number switches over, I'll be able to transfer it back to my current iPhone.
