You want a 1ohm mono load on that amp to get it's rated power. That means everything in parallel. Both 4ohm coils on each subs in parallel, which will yield 2ohms per sub, then both subs together in parallel to get a final 1 ohm mono load that the amp makes full rated power at.

Does anyone know if the amp here will power both 12" subs? Description on eBay says supports one.

It's been years since I dabbled in car audio but 1000W RMS amp will drive (total) 900W RMS subwoofers in parallel (2 ohm). These should be considered a good match. But for god's sake please invest in a subwoofer box and quality wires of appropriate gauge. Don't just throw these into your trunk. Ported box for boomy/thunderous bass or sealed box (non-ported) for tight/melodic bass.

Kinda miss the good Ole days. So quiet on the roads now. My rear view mirror hasn't even been tapped, much less shaken in years. I guess the auto manufacturers really made things way less user friendly and upgradeable. You tamper with near anything, the hamsters start protesting inside the engine.

yeah with all the super large touchscreens with build in radio its hard to add external AMPs and the MANUFACTURER STEALERSHIPs aren't helpful either they have no clue at all about this.

good old early 2000s with alpine head unit and eq to get REAL deep bass in the car , today is just screaming load mids and highs but no feel from the music anymore

I have an s-box Subaru for which these in some homemade mdf boxes would totally fit the vibe. These would just about double the value of the car, not even joking.

I know what you mean, I had an amp and speakers laying around, thought I would put them in my car. Ended up changing the entire system. My stock head unit was detuned so that it wouldn't hurt the stock speakers. When I tried to use it as a source for my subs, there was no bass to amplify.

Audio Control LC2i will put that bass back. But I agree with you guys, the factory systems these days suuuuck for adding aftermarket gear. Subs are easy. When you start playing with the rest of the system, you get really loud turn signal sounds and other fun things (since alerts are now played through your radio). Also another yelling at the clouds, a lot of today's subs are just noise makers, not much in the line of good SQ subs, at least on the low end of prices... and then no more stereo shops where you can actually listen to stuff.
