Are these woven with gold thread? Seriously, other than the logo is there anything special about this item?

It's a highly durable, highly technical active piece. If you just want a fleece, this is a total rip off.
If you want a mid or outer layer piece you can use for activities like skiing, hiking, where you want some warmth but great breathability for when you sweat, and do these activities more than once every blue moon and will get your money's worth, it's absolutely worth it.

This is not a regular plane Jane fleece you can buy for $30. If that's all your lifestyle needs are, buy the $30 fleece, save money, and don't look back.

That model looks more like brunette Ryan Gosling than Ryan Gosling.

I can't wear mine without a t-shirt underneath. That waffle grid fabric drives my sensory system crazy and irritates the hell out of my body...back, sides, arms, an all-day distraction on my skin. I don't wear mine much because of the way it feels wearing it, and kinda wish I hadn't bought it.

Seems when I bought mine at REI a few years ago it was around $80, so it's crazy this pullover is $30 more on sale now than it used to be at full retail.

Thanks...it's not for me, but if has features that make sense to some that's great.
