40L is a good size. What I like about this kind of bag is that unlike past traditional duffle bags, the cover flap wide opens so you could easily see everything inside without the need to be struggling to pack or find something inside. And it can be worn as a backpack is another feature I like. I have similar style bags from UA in 40L, 45L and I got them in super deals few years ago which ai have not seen lately there. UA ones are thick material with sturdy zippers and are of very good quality. This one might be ok but review images are making me think the material is thin like parachute soft and may not be that durable.
