When you select 'I need new number', the price jumps to $49 plus 1 month supreme $55, when I was about to close the window I received a pop up with a $25 discount. Total for me was $79 plus tax, no port in needed.

At which point did you get the popup? Right after you hit I need a new number and before going on to the next screen?

In my case: I need new number > select plan > add zip code to calculate total in cart > then move mouse to close or over to another browser tab > popup appears

just did the same. total $84. as $55 plan is on autopay. I deselected autopay as this will be used to trade-in with TMO for iphone 17 ($830 off-Check slickdeal thread). Not planning to keep phone/plan more than a week.
Ordered 2 @$84 + tax. Both Shipped.
Ordering 3rd one for TMO tradein as when the TMO $830 deals comes I never have any phone to trade in. These are cheapest at $84.

I actually did the $50 iPhone 16e deal over the weekend. I received the phone today and I think I was able to downgrade to the $35 per month plan. If anyone needs help, let me know. I took some screenshots
How do you downgrade to the 35 plan after purchase?
I used to get those cheap Tracfone deals for family members since it only required 60 days. 1 year is crazy. Similar to boost mobile and now metro
Yes although MetroPCS all of a sudden has become the most friendly deal for unlocking since you only have to pay for one month and then a year later it's unlocked. Which is ridiculous but it's better than having to pay 12 months concurrent which is a deal breaker. Ridiculous that the FCC granted that waiver to Verizon.
Could you please share more information on how you did this?

Did you switch your plan from the app or did you have to contact Cricket support?

So here is what I did:
I purchased the 16e for $50 plus the 2 months at $60 each ($120)
I received the phone and had to activate it. Once I did that, I went to the cricket app and there I went to PLANS and there was a list of plans.
I clicked on the $35 plan and added it to my cart and checked out.

ya i got two iphone 13s from walmart for straight talk, was going do the 2 months for them for my kids (one jan, one feb) then port them out but unfornately they/verizon changed to now a year so i am debating just turning both in for $180x2 =$360 credit. I payed abt $300 for them so id be walking off with nearly my money and abit more. I have no desire to pay $50 a month or so for a year.
