I ordered these to replace a pair of cheap Wescott's for my desk. These were also meh. Both pairs work fine for basic use (cutting paper etc), but the handles are uncomfortable. So fine but very meh and I'll probably try to replace again 🙃

What's the difference from the classic orange ones? I still have my original from the '90s. Later bought another pair, maybe 9 years ago (made/assembled in Vietnam).

New Fiskars are crap compared to the older models. I had an original/classic pair of shears from 20+ years ago that was great--it eventually wore out from the inside surfaces grinding each other away. I had resharpened them multiple times using the included ceramic sharpener, but it can't fix worn interior surfaces.
So I bought another pair of Fiskars a few years ago, and it's nowhere near as good as the old model. The handle is cheaper, the blades corrode/rust, and the edge doesn't hold as well. I tried a few other models of Fiskars and ended up switching to more-expensive Kai scissors (bought a damaged pair on ebay and had them resharpened for free by the factory). The Kai has been awesome, even cutting reinforced sailcloth, woven Dyneema, cuben fiber, and thick Cordura fabrics.
