I bought one of these during the holidays and it broke after 5 uses. (Stopped heating up).
Also the waffles it makes didn't come out crispy. Had to wait an extra 3-5 minutes after the indicator light turned off so it wasn't soggy.

Bella products are constantly on sale because they are low-quality and break early. I no longer entertain buying any of their products.

This is actually not from the non-stick surface, but rather the plastic chassis. The most economical injection-moldable material that can withstand high temperatures is phenolic resin, which can release formaldehyde if it gets too hot.

Biggest piece of junk Ive made the mistake of buying form an SD alert! and I've bought a few lol. Stupid thing never heated enough to produce a crisp waffle - more like a warmed soggy waffle sponge. Shame theyre still pushing these things ... weekly. sigh
