For the money, this is a great deal. Especially since they come with the Allstate 2 year warranty!!! The $117 SD a few weeks ago didn't include the 2 year warranty.
The Gen2 aren't that much better..certainly not $150+ better. They added some features for the audio. They improved the ear tips a bit. They added wireless charging. Supposedly they added some AI stuff it the Nosie cancelling but I haven't been able to tell. Outside of that almost everything else is the same..battery life, app features, size etc
I really wish SD and the admins would stop saying these are $299 "Normally". They were when they were brand new. Now that the Gen2 is out, the "brand new" price dropped to like $199. These aren't a brand new pair. They've been factory refurbished.
