It's an odd product but I am very tempted. I have an induction stove top and I ended up dropping something that hit the edge and created a chip. That chip grew into a crack across the entire left side and I had to pay ~$300 to get the part to fix it myself. In theory this could help prevent that in the future if I can make myself put it into place religiously.

Only a DUMOS would place a wooden shelf over a box that makes fire.

Seems very niche. I feel like this would just eat up a ton of counterspace whenever you need to cook

Wouldn't advise storing anything on top of a stove/range.

What if you have an induction cooktop?
The metal handles are there to heat up to make sure that you have an equal opportunity to burn something on induction.

Curious, Is this a uniiversal size....like one size fits all stove top??
I highly doubt it. You'd be measuring your stovetop to see if this sits flush enough for what you want it to cover.

What if you, I don't know, cook on your stove top everyday? Seems like a hassle

I use my stove maybe once a week, so that's why I got one. I mainly bought it though as my last apartment had a gas stove so it was more helpful with that one. With my glass stove now it's not as needed.

No need. Just buy a large, real wood board w/ handles...Go to TJmaxx or Marshalls.

Doesn't seem very practical at all...
If you really want to cover and protect your stove top I would go with a thick silicone mat.
Something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F9VCVT8D
And you can use your regular cutting board on top of that if you're low on counter space.
Plus... it's cheaper, rolls up easy and comes in 7 different colors.
Cheers!

Super fair, but doesn't work with gas stoves :/
