Only a DUMOS would place a wooden shelf over a box that makes fire.

It's an odd product but I am very tempted. I have an induction stove top and I ended up dropping something that hit the edge and created a chip. That chip grew into a crack across the entire left side and I had to pay ~$300 to get the part to fix it myself. In theory this could help prevent that in the future if I can make myself put it into place religiously.

Seems very niche. I feel like this would just eat up a ton of counterspace whenever you need to cook

This might be a good option if you have a glasstop with some scratches or other damage that you want to conceal. Cheaper than buying a new stove, but I agree with the above that storing this when you're cooking would be a pain. Probably looks rather nice, but I'd be moving it constantly.

Agreed. It looks nice in the picture, but I think it's more practical to just place 1 or 2 normal wooden cutting boards over the stove when you aren't using it, and then you have a handy cutting board to use when you need to uncover the stovetop.

This is good if you're having a party that's buffet style can use the stove for bread or other things
