Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Still trades in for $180 at Apple. So if you want an apple tv 4k and some left over credit still worth doing.

Can I cancel the plan after one month? I want to use it as an ipod
if all you want is an mp3 player get the moto stylus T-Mobile deal. It has expandable storage. I loaded all my mp3 files on a micro SD card. Its also capable of downloading and streaming from YouTube.

It's dependent on the source of your port in number. The window carriers give you from the time you request the port out pin varies. Some give a week some give only 3-4 days. So if that time window lapses before you receive and activate the phone on Metro that can lead to having to get CS involved.
If the port is not completed before the original service plans expiration date that can ruin the entire port as well, requiring reactivation on the original carrier. Last common problem is when using VOIP sourced numbers from GV or NumberBarn which are classified as landlines it can take over a week for the port to complete after activation unless you call the Metro Port department and get a hold of a competent rep that can push it through.

GV port out is good for 30 days before it locks out again.

sounds like there is enough time.

There is. VOIP numbers only becomes a problem if you intend to order more than 1 phone. Without the port clearing on its own during activation, you won't be able to complete account registration in order to add a 2nd or 3rd line at a discounted rate. Can be solved by calling port dept as stated until you find a competent rep that understands how to complete a landline number port.

Just ordered with a GV number. Sold my straight talk iphone 13 last year now I regret it. it's nice to have a backup iphone. probably won't ever use this iphone 13 😂 I'll use the sim for my metro moto stylus 2025 that won't unlock until September.

what version ios does the 13 ship with?

I got the $99 deal in December 2024 and it unlocked in December 2025 to the point i put in an infomobile sim and it did it all without me having to do anything
Same. Got it for $99 in October 2024. However, it's still locked when I checked last week. Chatted with 2 different reps. One rep said, I have to have continuous service for a year. The second rep said 3 months of service. Has anyone have the same issue? Not sure what to do at this point.

Did you try a full factory reset, wipe the phone and start over. Then make sure location services is on.
