Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

"Your number transfer can it be transferred at this time."

Just tried porting out google voice number. Wasted $3 Frown
I had same problem right after I unlocked the number, and that time I also used 940xx zip code.

2 hours later, it worked. I used the zip code that matches up with the area code.

So I don't know if the delay was needed, or the matching zip code, or both....?

Did your Lyca number work ?
port in went through but on the last step it landed on "your security is important to us, contact customer service....." Even customer service couldn't place order for me. Some stuck with my name/address from last year although I didn't order anything from Metro since March 2025.

What I did is create new Google accounts to have multiple numbers. I believe google has made that more difficult now. Usually have to wait months to get a new GV on the same account.

Are the watches locked to Metro or do they come unlocked? I don't recall if LTE Galaxy Watches are ever locked to their carrier.
I have seen people saying it's unlocked. I don't have first hand experience.

If you want to get another one for $30 monthly fee, you need to wait for the first to arrive. Need activate phone and get sms to login.

2 part question.
After a month of service, can this phone be sold/given to another Metro user to use with their sim/esim?
Can this be used by another metro user if you don't activate the phone when received. for example. new in box.

I think you can activate after it ships and then the account is cleared to order more.

For GV number ported, is there a way to save it since I will only pay $55 for the first month?
You could port your number back to GV for $20

You could also use your new Metro phone number and link it to make a new GV number

I just activated my 2nd one after it shipped. Got a new gv# n my 3rd iPhone 13 order is good to go. Hopefully, I can order another 1 in a few days.
So for the first phone on the account, you have to actually receive the phone to activate it, correct? Then can start activating phones 2, 3, and 4 (if you want to buy that many) upon shipping?

As I understand it, the potential downside of the phone is that it may not work for the BYOD plan pricing if the system identifies it as a phone that was originally sold by Metro.

Perhaps the person you want to give the phone to wants to use a Metro plan other than the BYOD plan so the restriction may not matter to the other person.
