Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Yeah some people on the thread have reported issues using their home Zip (I'm guessing their Zip didn't match their GV area code), I never tried my actual home Zip because I remember doing a similar Metro deal in the past and using the Google Zip but home Zip may have worked as well assuming it's one that's from the specific area code of the GV number.
You got any idea how GV number works when you try to activate the phone? Is it like any other phone service? Just enter my unlocked GV number when I activate the 13 or so I need to call some service help desk to help me with the activation ?

I ordered through LycaMobile yesterday. It went smoothly and Metro took a few minutes to process the account and pin though. I have not received the phone so I cannot provide any evidence on whether it will activate successfully.

Sorry, we couldn't reserve your number.
We're weren't able to connect with your carrier to get your number reserved. Please continue with a new number, or visit a store to complete your number transfer. Promotions may vary in-store.

Got above message, called customer service, still no go. They said someone is trying to use my number to port out. I clearly told that that was me and was trying to port out to them only. t

They said attempted 4 times, but I know I attempted only once in last 24 hours and another over the phone. Now they asked me to wait 24 hours and call them again! There seems to be some issue at their end.

Looks like you will not able to get one. Make sure you take wifi off when ordering too.

So, I'd need to do this deal like 6 or 7 times to have enough for a new iPhone 17 Pro?

I tried lyca mobile but it keeps failing on the port out part. I'll try again tomorrow, because after the port out fails the number is locked for a certain number of hours before you can try porting out again.

Yeah but there is 4 limit max and each new and you have to activite before you can order another one. That credit is for locked or unlocked. So you could trade them in as soon as you got them but you will need a number to be ported for each one. Folks did just that with the iphone 10 deal from total wireless like 5 years ago.

Idk if you are trying to port out a google voice number. If you are use 00000 for a zip code not your own.
login to google voice-Setting
Unlock your line -pay 3 bucks
In settings further down Toggle the voicemail setting to set your pin your phone number is your account # your Pin is your voicemail pin and your zip is 00000

If the reserved worked yes your port has been verified along with your credentials your port should go smoothly.

Yep if you passed number reserved step its pretty much all setup. Your google number will disappear from your voice account when you activate service. However you can just get another voice number. The number you are porting will work like any other cell phone number you have used.

Google voice number is working perfectly..
InfiMobile works but they also charge a $10 fee for port out if the plan was activated within 30 days.

I had same problem right after I unlocked the number, and that time I also used 940xx zip code.

2 hours later, it worked. I used the zip code that matches up with the area code.

So I don't know if the delay was needed, or the matching zip code, or both....?
The zip code you should use with GV is 00000. While using one that matches your area code may work it may delay your port.

Can't go through the transfer number step. Account number and phone numbers are the same, pin is my voicemail and the number is unlocked. Paid $3 to make sure. Any ideas why?
Try a zip code of 00000
