Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

Can someone help me understand the porting google voice number process. Here is where I currently stand. I have my personal Verizon carrier number phone + gvoice account burner number (used to port for this deal). Google voice is installed created on my Verizon phone still logged in.

I received this metro iPhone13 ported with the gvoice burner number and activated. Metro iPhone13 does not have google voice installed. As of right now texts from Verizon carrier phone to gvoice burner # appear on both google voice account texts (on my Verizon phone) AND metro iPhone. Text seems to be working fine.

But phone calls aren't working correctly. Metro i13 calling my Verizon phone works fine. BUT using my Verizon real number to call the gvoice burner number only activates the gvoice app on my Verizon phone. The metro i13 phone isn't ringing at all

I activated my phone, able to text and call. Now I am trying to login my Metro account, enter my phone number. But got an error message:

"Sorry, but we were unable to save your changes. Please try again."

It has been 2 hours after I activated my phone, still can't login.
Any idea why?

It takes few days to completely port the number from GV to Metro.

Seems like more GV port was incomplete, like others, incoming calls route to GV still. I want to generate another GV# to try and get another phone. Is it necessary to call metro to complete the port?

Just want to add that I am trying to add a 2nd line as I was able to get the deal already. Adding the 2nd line online results in payment error "Sorry we can't process". I called customer service and the payment process failed as well. The rep mentioned that she encountered this error on the payment process multiple times already today. I guess I'll try again another day.

Bought a lyca $5 plan ($5.25 after fees) yesterday. Canceled the autopay and deleted my credit card today in case something goes wonky while porting. You will need to install the esim into a spare phone as you will need it to receive the OTP codes to log into online lyca account and again to show your account/pin info

Was able to buy a second phone thru metro (iPhone 16e 99.99+$35 month fee+$8.75 tax). The porting process took about 5-6min online. Waiting to receive phone and activate.

No. You're wrong here. I literally had to buy another google number with the right zip code to enter it in. Stop giving false information. 00000 does NOT work. Literally had to waste an hour of my time calling customer service for them to clear the hold with this number and customer service was terrible. Stop giving people false information and try to defending this. I wasted an hour of my time due to your misinformation.
