Ok your account number is just your GV phone number and your pin is your "call to listen" pin that you set up in the settings of GV. You first have to pay $3 to unlock the GV number.

Porting and failed attempts to order the phone. FYI if you go through the last step and Metro reserved the number you are porting in. But you failed, their payment screen and your order did not go through. Be advised that that number(s) that you attempted to port (no atter how many different phone numbers) are locked in Metro Port Reservation. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT NUMBER to process new order using that same # until you call Metro and ask to be transferred over to the porting department and ask them to delete the port. You will also not be able to port it anywhere else until they delete the port reservation. So, all you folks that tried to process a zillion orders after your initial order failed it will never work (even if you fix why your payment didn't go through) until YOU CALL METRO to fix your PORT. With all that said the port dept will want to verify you and the easiest way is for them to send you a SMS to your metro phone so your you don't have a Metro phone working well welcome to the struggle bus have a seat and relax your gong to be on the phone with Metro for some time. Please know this address multiple attempts at porting the same phone number not all the other reasons orders fail on the payment screen. All I can say on that one is , Don't use VPN, don't use discover, don't use a virtual number, wait 48 not 24 hours for your last order attempt to clear out of their system and if you are a religious person…pray

The short version, you must call Metro to make sure any/all the number(s) you are porting over that previously succeed Port Reservation but failed Payment are not locked now to metro reservation once locked to metro they will not work with a new order or another wireless company. This deal is killing me softly, now I remember why I avoided Metro for so long

For those of you having the fraud screen, do this -

Use a VPN
Different credit card #
Add a fake apartment # to your address (if you live in a house)

This has worked for me in the past.

i dont understand why wifi even matters. you're adding a line, why would it have to be for yourself, it can be for anyone in your family. why even set up this offer and then gate it off like this when people try to add a line.
either they are doing it on purpose to force customers to go to the store to pay extra, or their security system is really bad and blocking authentic transactions 99% of the time...

What if you use a port-in number while ordering and not activate the service in Metro after phone is delivered?I see this in the page "Note: Your number won't be transferred over until after your new device is activated"Does it mean, the phone is activated before shipping?
Have the same question.

Super lucky or something. I can't get the 2nd GV port out to work at ALL. Not online on my own, not via chat support, not via calling on the phone... Just stuck. Even tried a separate GV account under my wife's name, separate Metro account, no joy. Always get sent to the damn "call us or go to a store" page.
same thing happening to me. it's so stupid how they have this promo then don't let you do it. at least say one per account so you dont keep trying and wasting time.

What is the difference between these two accounts? Do they have the same address?

more than 3? i cant even get my second one.
Doing Metro deals is like turning a wheel of fortune! Metro keeps adding/changing their "fraud" prevention measures. Nobody knows what they are - one "trick" may work for some but not for others. So if you are hoping to buy more than one, just keep trying different tricks until your first month plan expires.
I did the Moto Razr deal a couple of months ago and could only buy two. Same this time (under a different name in the family). My second order failed on the first attempt. It went through on the second attempt, though I was challenged with 3 background questions (like one of my previous addresses and a vehicle I've owned). Trying to open a new account under yet another name in the family doesn't work. Game over for me this round.

So would I be able to "purchase" this phone, receive this phone and then immediately activate it on a different metro line?
You need to switch the new iPhone to a different phone first after activation. After that you can switch the phone in your other account to this new phone. So you'll need a third compatible device for this to work.
Don't know if the bug is in their system, but you may have to keep trying until the error message disappears. Both of my new lines are associated with different devices now.

I always get at least 3. Did 3 16e this time. I space things out to every 6 months per address and switch off between addresses and my wife's name and mine. I always place subsequent orders from the first Metro phone I receive with WiFi off. It might be just luck but I've gotten 30 Metro phones through the years. Started in the good old days of 3 month unlock.

Cancel after receive phone ?
There's nothing to gain by cancelling. The plan is non-refundable. The i13 is free so refund amount is zero.

May I ask why you chose the 16e that is $100 vs getting the free iphone 13?

Asking because I chose the 16e as well, but while the order is processing and awaiting shipping, I started to think I should have got the free iphone 13 instead.

Thanks

If you want faster phone, iPhone 16e with A18 chip is much faster vs iPhone 13 (A15 chip). If you installed iOS 26 on iPhone 13 which lacks AI capabilities and is significantly slower. Also if you play games, A18 chip is faster for gaming and better battery efficiency.

I have both. I may trade one of the 16e in to Apple for an unlocked 17e next month but otherwise in 1 year these phones will our daily drivers in our family. The 16e has truly extraordinary battery life and the camera has been fine. If Apple gets its act together local AI will be much better on the A18 processor with 8gb of RAM.
OTOH I have an iPhone 14 as my current phone and the 13 seems every bit as good as a phone so you can save money if you like. If you order the 13 as your second phone it's just $30 and that's hard to beat.

How much do you plan to sell it for, given it's locked to Metro for a year?

We won't know what the trade-in value of the 16e is until after March 4.

Wondering what that trade value will be though. The 16e isn't an option for trades at Apple yet
